The horse aptly named by one of his owners in a statewide competition last year is set to make his debut trial for Simon Miller at Belmont on Monday March 8.

The Dubai Destination gelding has been touted a "pocket rocket" by Simon Miller and his early track work partner was the talented Tottenham Hots.

Dubai Hawq has trialed only once for a close up second at Lark Hill in May last year. That day he pulled up shin sore and went to the paddock for a good spell.

He was close to trialing again in October last year when he again pulled up shin sore.

This time, it has taken some work to bring him to his ultimate fighting weight, and he will benefit greatly from the trial, but Simon Miller expects him to go extremely quickly.

We still have a 10% share available Dubai Hawq for $4,000, which is well below the initial outlay plus outgoings accumulated over two years.

This price is only available until trial day on Monday and if he wins impressively, expect it to go up.

Dubai Hawq was named by Jarrod Lamb after he successfully created the most popular name amongst all competition entrants.

Out of the dam Hawaiian Queen, Dubai Hawq was a popular result.
