RACE 8: AUSTRALASIA HANDICAP - 1400M
General: Jockey P. Carbery (KENDER) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under ARR.137(a) for allowing his mount to shift outwards near the 700m causing BLACK HABIT (A. Castle) to be bumped and carried outwards and become unbalanced. Jockey Carbery subsequently had his licence to ride in races suspended for a period of 11 days to commence midnight 13 February 2010 and to expire at midnight 24 February 2010.
Jockey T. Turner (RAGING) was charged and found guilty to a charge of careless riding under ARR.137(a) for shifting inwards near the 1200m causing GARAVANNI (P. King) to be crowded and carried inwards causing RICH KEN (C. Harvey) to check. Jockey Turner subsequently had his licence to ride in races suspended for a period of 12 days to commence midnight 6 February 2010 and to expire midnight 18 February 2010.
