Aaron’s a self confessed victim of the punt and has been following racing since he was old enough to put down a dollar at the local TAB.
Whilst the gambling aspect of the industry has always been his main driving force he now has several ownership interests with racehorses trained by Neville Parnham, Darren McAuliffe, Brett Pope and Mick Price (Melb) which he plans to expand on in coming years.
Aaron’s also a big follower of the breeding industry and would like to pursue some interest in that area especially with some fillies he currently has racing.
Virtually a guaranteed at any metropolitan meet, Aaron also likes to get along to the provincial tracks of Northam, Pinjarra and Bunbury. In fact, he rates Pinjarra cup day as his favorite meeting of the year.
Although a big proponent of the Don Scott ratings method, he insists race replays and trial watching is essential for any punter wanting to win long term.
An astute punter he combines his hobby with a casual TAB clerking job and work for Perth Turf Talk.
Aaron also enjoys putting on the cream’s and playing Lawn Bowls where he was a WA representative not to mention watching sport, particularly AFL and cricket.
Aaron’s overall knowledge of the industry is exceptional devouring information on any racing subject making for comprehensive research skill.
Want to know something about racing, ask Aaron - if he doesn’t know the answer it’s a given he will find out.
